Conversation between my 7 year-old and my 2 year-old, overheard:
Louisa: Evie! Let's pretend you're the daddy and I'm the teenager!
Evie: Okay!
Louisa (teenager): Daddy, I want to be a rock star when I finish high school.
Evie (father): No.
Louisa (teenager): Well! I'm gonna do it anyway!
Evie (father): No!
Sniff. ..they grow up so fast!

Message Board
My daughter received a message board kit as a Christmas present last year. We dutifully put it together and I did a lot of extra work to make it not fall apart upon actual use. Kathy did a fine job of painting and decorating it to make my work appear less noticeable.
Louisa has decided to post notes to this board herself. Here are some recent samples:
When are we going on a road trip? - I'm not sure what she thinks one does on a road trip...I just hope she didn't manage to watch the movie Road Trip before writing this.
I need to praktse spelling - Not bad for a seven year old, but amusing nonetheless.
